Tripp 90 nominated for another design award
The almost 30-metre-long PREVAIL from YYachts' custom division is a finalist in two categories at the BOAT International Design and Innovation Awards.
The latest delivery from YYachts' custom division continues to cause a stir. After being nominated for the Yacht & Aviation Awards, the almost 30-metre-long PREVAIL has now also been listed as a finalist at the BOAT International Design and Innovation Awards. An independent jury decided to send the yacht into the final round of the awards in two categories - interior and exterior design - together with deliveries from Baltic, Nautor's Swan and Southern Wind. The awards are named after BOAT International, the world's most important superyacht magazine, which primarily covers yachts above 24 metres.
The exterior design of the yacht was created by Bill Tripp, while Winch Design from London was responsible for the interior. The goal in the development of the Tripp 90 was competitive performance on the regatta circuit, combined with comfortable sailing behavior.
The spacious interior is minimalist and open-plan, benefiting from plenty of natural light. Drawing stylistic inspiration from the U.S. East Coast and mid-century Scandinavian influences, as well as soft leather and light oak wood, the ambiance exudes understated elegance.
Dirk Zademack, Managing Partner of YYachts, says: "A great honour for our shipyard and a nice appreciation for the designers and of course our craftsmen."
Meanwhile, owner, designers and shipyard will have to wait until 22 June when the winners will be announced at a glamorous award ceremony in Milan.
