Eight years ago, YYachts launched its very first Y8 \u2013 a yacht named Cool Breeze<\/i>. This launch marked not only the beginning of a new generation of modern carbon sailing yachts, but also a significant milestone in our shipyard\u2019s journey. Now, eight years later, we are proud to continue that legacy with a new Y8 that has just been successfully launched and christened. Interestingly, this latest Y8 features a colour scheme reminiscent of Cool Breeze<\/i> \u2013 a subtle yet powerful tribute to our origins and to the spirit that defines YYachts. Following a smooth launch and highly successful sea trials in perfect sailing conditions, the yacht was handed over without a hitch. She will be delivered to South America \u2013 clear proof of the international confidence placed in YYachts’ craftsmanship.<\/p>\n
The name Suuk\u2018iik of this Y8 also carries a meaning similar to Cool Breeze<\/i> \u2013 both evoking lightness, freedom, and the elegance of sailing that YYachts has championed from the very beginning. The handover process went seamlessly, thanks to our well-established procedures and the close coordination of the entire YYachts team.<\/p>\n
Since our founding, we have sold eleven Y8 models \u2013 a testament to the continued appeal and enduring success of this fast and capable carbon yacht. Built entirely in carbon composite, the Y8 is engineered for performance and effortless handling. With a wide stern, a modern rig, and a lightweight structure, she strikes the perfect balance between speed and comfort. Developed in collaboration with the renowned naval architecture studio Surge Projects, led by Javier Jaudenes, the Y8 features sleek, regatta-ready lines paired with all the amenities of a luxury cruiser.<\/p>\n
