A new tender for your YYacht garage

The Jetson One, which just became marketable, is a handy quadrocopter that fits perfectly into any YYachts garage.

Jetson is a Swedish company, founded in 2017, with a mission to change the way we travel. It aims to make the skies available for everyone with their personal electric aerial vehicle.

The prototype was finished in the spring of 2018 and resulted in Jetson ONE, a commercially available personal electric aerial vehicle that you can own and fly by yourself. 

Built of aluminum and carbon fiber, the Jetson One's cabin is 2.8 m long, 1 m high and 2.4 m wide. The four twin propellers on booms at four corners are driven by eight electric motors. The lithium-ion battery packs 88 kW of power, and the maximum flight time is 20 minutes - if the pilot weighs 85 kg, at a top speed of 100 km/h. The empty weight of the Jetson One is 40 kg.

With the help of lidar sensors, the Jetson One is said to be able to probe the terrain and avoid obstacles automatically. In the event of an emergency, the aircraft will be able to land safely with the help of a built-in parachute. Pilots will sit in a safety cell that is supposed to be modeled on those of Formula 1 cars.

With its dimensions it fits folded perfectly into the YYachts garage and could be an alternative way of getting ashore in a fun and stylish way. It comes as a kit that is semi-pre-assembled.
