Our paint shop - where amazing colors are born
We have one of the most modern and technologically advanced paint shops in Europe.
Here at YYachts in Greifswald, we have one of the most modern and technologically advanced paint shops in Europe. Our hub is climate controlled to provide a clean and dust free surrounding to spray our yachts in a defined environment and to undertake the required curing cycle.
All YYachts hulls are painted by Peter Wrede Yacht Refits, European leader in boat hull painting with 30 years of experience in the nautical industry.
Most of the YYachts models have polyurethane varnishes and very special custom made colors. They are all customized in cooperation with ALEXSEAL Yacht Coatings.
Moreover, our paint shop is equipped with a heating tempering system. Every yacht is post cured at up to 80°C to maximize the mechanical property of the resin to give strength and solidity to the hull. This results in a better performance at sea.
At the same time the excess paint, instead of circulating freely in the air, is automatically deducted to prevent it from settling in unwanted places.
Our oven is built to heat up to 90 degrees so that we are capable of tempering demanding prepregs and finally a further step is carried out to perfectly fix the paint. For your yacht, this generally means tempering up to approx. 65 degrees. This gives the entire composite part a pronounced rigidity and stability which will not shrink even at high temperatures.
The flush deck of all YYachts underlines the sporty design as well as the shape of the carbon hull. Why does a feeling of freedom and spaciousness immediately arise on board a YYacht? On the one hand - of course - this is due to the sheer size of our YYachts models.
